Tips for a Great Tubing Experience

1. Wear sunscreen: The Colorado sun can be intense, and you’ll be on the water for a while. Trust me, you don’t want to end the day looking like a lobster. If you forgot yours not to worry, we sell sunscreen at our tube shop!
2. Bring water: Floating down the river can be surprisingly dehydrating. A reusable water bottle is a must.
3. Secure your belongings: We offer sell phone cases and sunglass straps. Use them! I once lost a pair of sunglasses to the river, and I’ve been more careful ever since.
4. Wear appropriate shoes: The riverbed can be rocky, so it’s a good idea to protect your feet. Flip flops and crocs are NOT appropriate, you need secure shoes/sandals that will stay on your feet.

Wrapping Up the Day

After a few hours (and laps on the river) of floating, you’ll reach the take-out point. Our courtesy shuttle will be waiting to bring you back to the rental shop. By then, you’ll probably be hungry, and Pagosa Springs has plenty of great places to grab a bite. We Love Riff Raff on the Rio  for some delicious tacos and a cold drink.
