Upcoming Adventures: A Season of Flight with Pagosa Adventure

The skies are calling, and the Pagosa Adventure team is gearing up for one of the busiest and most exciting stretches of the year! From the San Juan Mountains to the deserts of New Mexico, our balloons will be soaring high, bringing color, joy, and adventure to communities across the region. Mark your calendars — here’s where you can find us over the next several weeks.

September 19–21: Colorfest, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

We kick things off right here at home with Colorfest, Pagosa Springs’ most colorful weekend of the year. This beloved tradition fills the skies with brilliant balloons, while the ground comes alive with live music, food, and wine and beer tasting. For us, there’s nothing better than launching over our hometown and sharing the beauty of the San Juan Mountains with passengers and spectators alike.

September 26–28: Four Corners Balloon Rally, Farmington, New Mexico

Next, we’ll head south to Farmington for the Four Corners Balloon Rally. This event showcases balloons against the dramatic backdrop of the high desert, and it’s always a favorite for pilots and crews. With multiple launches and plenty of community spirit, Farmington knows how to celebrate ballooning!

September 29–October 1: Airstream Group Flight, Gallup, New Mexico

From Farmington, our team makes its way to Gallup for a special Airstream group flight. On September 29, 30, and October 1, we’ll be flying a caravan of Airstream travelers who have come together to experience ballooning up close. These intimate, unique launches are a reminder of how ballooning can bring people together in unforgettable ways.

October 3–12: Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

The biggest ballooning event in the world is next on our schedule: the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. We’ll start with Albuquerque Aloft on October 3, when balloons launch simultaneously from schools across the city. Then, from October 4–12, the legendary mass ascensions begin, with hundreds of balloons lifting into the morning sky. Fiesta is a bucket-list experience for ballooning fans, and we’re thrilled to be part of the magic once again.

October 17–19: Animas Valley Balloon Rally, Durango, Colorado

After Fiesta, we head back north to Durango for the Animas Valley Balloon Rally. Framed by the rugged San Juan Mountains and the golden hues of fall, this rally is pure Colorado beauty. The crisp autumn mornings and vibrant scenery make it one of the most picturesque events of the season.

October 25: Witches Fly-In, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

We’ll wrap up this whirlwind adventure at home with our very own Witches Fly-In on October 25. A fan-favorite event, this whimsical tradition invites participants to don their best witch attire and take to the skies. It’s playful, fun, and the perfect way to close out an incredible ballooning season.
